Mobility

These days, Adam and I are sharpening our parenting skills as Micah sharpens his exploration skills. Micah crawling has added the word "No" to our daily vocabulary. We've Micah-proofed our home as much as possible, but he finds the corners, drawers, or cords that we've missed.

Before Micah could crawl, he would sit in the middle of a room and whine to be picked up. Now, he crawls toward our legs repeating, "Dadadadadada" or "Mamamamama" until he's close enough to start pulling himself up our legs. This is a typical view for us:We have to admit, we really enjoy it!

Speaking of pulling up, that's one of Micah's favorite past times! He will practice this new skill on anything and everything.

Yesterday, he started practicing a new skill...pulling up, finding his balance, and then letting go. When he lets go with both hands, he looks at me with a face that says, "Hey Mom, check this out!" and then quickly grabs for support again. So far, he's stood for about 5 seconds unsupported.
We're really excited to see this little guy grow!

Micah is such a cutie! This stage is so fun, huh? Elli's not letting go yet, but definitely pulling up on everything she can! They're getting big so fast! We'll have to get together again soon. Take care!
