As the doctor confirmed at our last visit, Micah is indeed teething. He drools, he cries, he yells, he chews, he chomps, and he rubs anything and everything he can get into his mouth on his sore gums. Poor little guy. Early evening is typically the worst; however, he had a "teething attack" this afternoon. Crying ensued.
I've tried a lot of different things to ease his pain, but I haven't done the Children's Tylenol yet. I've tried frozen washcloths, cold teething rings, room-temperature teething rings, a pacifier, a cold pacifier, and my finger. His favorite soothing items tend to be his burp rag (usually with my finger in it) and his pacifier. But occassionally--like today--there is no soothing. Then, there's just a lot of snuggling until he forgets about the pain or the sharpness fades.
I can't believe this is only the first tooth.

It really does get better! And all the cuddling and soothing is special too, for Mommy and baby.
