Do the Puyallup

Shannon and I have gone to the Puyallup Fair since we were both kids (not together of course). We've continued that tradition since we got married and since we had kids. For the last two years, Micah has been more interested in people watching than anything else. But this year, we started a new tradition: rides. It was lots of fun. Here's the pictorial summary of the day.

And quite silly it is.

Elly is still in the "watching" phase. Not quite sure what is going on around her.

The first ride--the first smile.

Who is having more fun here? Mommy or Micah?

Everybody loves a dump truck.

"Now can I get into the water?"

"Choo, choo", says the train.

The grandparents who didn't want to miss a minute of the action.

The little drummer boy.

Babau and Micah find some animals.

Self-portrait fun.

Micah was happier than most men that John Deere has a stand at the fair.

Test driving them all.

"I'll take the wheel on this one, Pa."

Before he left for Africa (for 2+ months), Babau gave Micah a special gift.

And Micah immediately started playing the blues.
