We talked more about birth plans and medications, and yes, we watched a labor video. Actually, I was pretty proud of myself for getting through it. It was an informative video without any excessive grunting or goo. Don't get me wrong, both of these things appeared in the video, but it wasn't one of those, "labor is going to be so difficult that you can't do it without drugs...and oh by the way, your kid looks like the slime you used to buy at the grocery store for 25 cents. Congrats."
My stats for my 33rd week of pregnancy are:
- Total weight gain thus far: 17 pounds (I actually lost half a pound in two weeks, but the midwife wasn't concerned at this point.)
- Baby Wilson's heartbeat was at 134 beats per minute, a bit slower than he's been measuring but normal. As he grows bigger, his heartbeat will slow down slightly.
- Baby Wilson is still in a head-down position, and his kicks and "butt bumps" are getting a lot stronger as his bones solidify. I rarely can get through a day without receiving a really strong wallop that momentarily takes my breath away.
After class, we've started going out to dinner with a few couples from class. We really enjoy these dinners because we get to hash out what we learned in class and hear about what decisions other couples are working through. Getting to know the other couples is such a blessing!

Shannon, thank you for the update. I'm so glad everything is progressing finely... and I'm happy you've been able to connect with other couples in your class.
