Yesterday, Adam and I attended a friend's daughter's first birthday party. It was truly a great time. We had not seen these friends for about three years! Their baby girl is so adorable. Her little personality shines through in everything she did...from exploring her new toys to squealing to get her parent's attention--as if to say, "hello, pay attention to me!" She held up through the entire party like a champ!
It was a blessing to me to sit back and watch the family of three interact with each other. I was fully impressed at how the dad was so involved. The parents shared in the joy of playing with the baby, holding the baby, and feeding the baby. They share the responsibility of parenthood--a beautiful way to show their family love.
About 3 hours into the party, the dad asked Adam the infamous question, "When are you going to have kids?" Adam's response was coy, "Oh, about 7 months." The dad took a few seconds to process it, and then congratulated us. He mentioned that he had a feeling. Being curious, I asked what gave him that impression. His response was one from a husband having a wife who was similar to me, "Well, when you got here, you asked for the bathroom, and then you weren't shy to eat...which is good."
That pretty much sums up my life lately...lots of bathroom breaks and snacks.

Well, I am a little behind in blog reading. Just decided to use David's identity rather than sign myself up!
He told me to come read this - he is really enjoying it! This is a very neat thing you are doing for Baby Wilson. We are certainly happy for all of you. Thank you for including us in your journey. We look forward to it! ~Kathleen
